1. Role of vitamins in wound healing

vitamin A; Promot immunity and Protect from infection. It helps in epithelial growth and epithelialization ,and increase dermal collagen synthesis.

Vitamin B complex; It hepls in formation of red blood cells and supply to the healing wound.It helps with the proliferation of cells and in collagen linkage and protein synthesis.

Vitamin C; Helps in iron absorption for production of red blood cells. It helps in capillary formation, collagen synthesis and and tissue repair and regeneration.

Vitamin D; helps to fight with wound infections.

2. Labile cells are constantly dividing and regenerating in the body. The has a short life span thus need constant replacement by new cells. The squamous epithelium of skin is on example for these types of cells.

3. The liver is the only organ that can regenerate rapidly. The injury may be due to and physical or chemical injury. The regeneration helps the liver to prevent its own failure.

4. Acronyms RICE is used in the first aid management of soft tissue damage.

R - Rest ; rest during initial hours of injury helps to reduce pain, inflammation and further injury.

I - Ice ; Application of ice reduce inflammation, pain and hematoma formation.

C - Compression ; compression helps to reduce edema and swelling.

E - Elevation ; helps to reduce edema by improving venous return.
