ANSWER

   * GFR is the amount of filtrate formed in nephrons of both kidneys

      in one minute.

   * It's normal level is 125 mL/min.

   * Kidneys help to maintain tissue perfusion of the body by balancing the

     amount of fluid and electrolytes in the body.

   * For maintaining normal fluid and electrolyte balance kidneys filter fixed amount

     of blood from the systemic circulation to bownman's capsule via glomerular

     capillaries.

   * So low glomerular filtration rate (GFR) result in changes in normal tissue perfusion

      and negatively affect the normal functioning of cells in the body.
