Describe the role and importance of governance in US health systems. After reading the Rice chapter, compare the role of governance in low income countries to that of the United States. Is this similar to the role of governance in NGOs (community nonprofit agencies)? Why or why not?

# The role and importance of governance in US health system are :-

- regulator,

- purchaser of care,

- provider of health care services,

- sponsor of research demonstrations,

- education, and training programs for health care professionals.

# Low income countries needs extra support in every sector whether it be health sector , or business sector etc . The governance have to work hard and provide more support in terms of findings , staffs , resources etc to low income countries because they are at the verge of development . No, it is not similar to the role of governance in NGOs because NGOs get help from non governmental agencies , private firms etc but the low income countries get the help and support from the government only .
