1.What are the health conditions and risk factors that deserve additional attention from science and technology? Why have you chosen these conditions and risk factors?

Health conditions that deserve additional attention of science and technology are HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Cancer , Any chronic illnesses,infectious diseases . I chose these conditions because the treatment of these diseases should reach the next level paving way for complete recovery. These conditions are more life threatening at present .

Risk factors that deserve additional attention from science and technology are smoking, excessive alcohol intake, drug abuse, unhealthy dietary habits, sedentary lifestyles, and non-adherence to effective medication regimens . These risk factors are modifiable and through help of science & technology these should be changed .

2.What are some of the specific gaps in diagnostic, drugs, vaccines, and other medical equipment that could most improve global health, if filled.

• Drugs should be safer , cost-effective , preventing & promoting health and tolerance to resistance
• Vaccines should be at reasonable cost, be safe & needing few doses , easily available & transportable .It should prevent diseases effectively
• Diagnostic equipments should be affordable, easily transportable, and not time consuming.

3. If you were the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, how would you spend money in research and development of new products for global health? Why?

Global health will be uplifted only when poverty and illiteracy are eradicated. Spending money on nutritious and natural foods , cost less life long immunity providing vaccines , eradication of pesticides and afforestation ( growing trees and forests soon) will be promoting quality of global health.
