Answer #1

Any recommendation adopted by the producer would be in best interest of the consumer when that recommendation actually gives benefit to the consumer. If any recommendation is ignoring the end consumer then such recommendation is of no use.

When adopting any recommendation the producer needs to ensure that focus is on general consumers for his products and it is not focussing only on specific consumers.

Lets evaluate and see every option by applying above theory,

Part A:

Producer considers only consumer's past needs and objective. In such a case producer adopts recommendation keeping in mind the past behaviour of the consumers. The producer focuses on past needs and objectives and adopts them in producing goods so that whetver good he produces, is accepted by consumers and are in their best interest. There this statement makes sense for the producer to adopt as recommendation

Part B:

The producer considers only interest of the consumer's significant other or spouse.

Here the producer is focusing only on specic category of consumers and is not focusing on general consumers at large. When a recommendation needs to be adopted then it needs to be for genera; consumers and not focussing on only specific category of consumers- in this case significant other or spouse.

Therefore this statement will not be approproate.

Part C

Producer considers only interest of consumer and compensation is not deemed to influence him/her. In this case producer is focusing only on interest of consumers but ignoring any compensation that would be required to be paid to consumer in case the consumer is not satisfied with the product or if there is any inferior product given to consumer. A recommendation should balance out the consumer needs on overall basis and just not focus on only few particular things.

Therefore this statement will not be approproate.

Part D

The producer is required to sell products recommended by his/her agency.

In such a scenario the producer is being ignorant about end customer needs and objectives. By selling products recommended by his/her sgency is only going to benefit the agency and chances are that needs and objectives of end customer is not getting resolved.

Therefore this statement will not be approproate.
