NON MALEFICENCE VS FIDELITY

Fidelity principle in nursing stands for loyalty,faithfulness,truthfulness advocacy and fairness to patients. Non maleficence means non-harming anyone to reach the outcome.

In some cases,families request the nurse that the  diagnosis and condition of the patient should not be disclosed to him/her.Giving deceiving information to the patient is unethical but it is legal if considering non maleficence.
