As a hospital nurse i can understand the needs and importance of spirituality in nursing practice. It is connected with hope, purpose of life, belifs and some values. It improves the patient centered approach in clinical practice. The key element is to understand spiritual needs of the patient.

Now a days in all most all hospital the service of chaplains or priests are available according to the belief of the patient and family there by they can fulfill spiritual needs. They play an important role in providing holistic care by connecting patient with health care team. So the patient can get psycological support.

During night shifts most of the patients reveling tgeir anxiety and expressing hope about their condition and care to the nurses. The nurses role in this situation is to support them by providing hholistic approach. There by make a feel that last night dity sister is very supportive. So patient can get positive attitude and impresdion about the health provoders.
