Suppose that a study was done on a married couple in a small town. We learned that one person in each couple is always exactly 7% shorter than their partner. What would the correlation between the heights of the married couple be?

So, here it is like if one person's height is x in then other person is of 0.93x because that's 7% shorter than the longer one. So, one is totally based on other and we can estimate it perfectly. If one increases other also increases and if one decreases other also decreases. Hence there is a perfect positive correlation between the heights of the married couple.

The correlation coefficient r = 1, perfect positive correlation.
