ECG is used to monitor the electrical activity of the heart. The commonly practiced one is the 12 lead ECG.This leads vies the anterior ,inferior and lateral walls of left ventricles.
The V leads (V1,V2,V3,V4) are called as precordial chest leads which views the anterior portion of the heart and V5 ,V6 view the lateral wall of left ventricles.
