Answer #1

Calculation formula =amount to be infused/total time in minutes×drop factor=drops/min

Hense the answers will be

Here the total volume is 50 ml

50/30×10=16.67drops/min

Drop factor is 10gtt/ml

Means 1 ml=10 drops

So 16.67. Drops==1.67 ml

Hense 1.67 ml to be infused per minute

At this rate total volume can be infused in 30 min

But we need in infusion pump there is no option for 30 mins

There is option ml / hr

So we need to calculate ml per 60 minutes or 1 hr

1.67×30/60

So 0.83 ml/hr is the answer
