Mention two environmental issues in your city and discuss how to solve it? Also suggest laws and regulators should be taken in order to stop its effect.

Environmental pollution comprises of events that pollutes and degrades the environment in an unhealthy way. Most common form of environmental pollution includes water pollution, air pollution, acid rain, ozone layer depletion and global warming. My city is very beautiful but it is influenced by some severe environmental pollution. The two most common environmental issues in my city involve water pollution and air pollution. Reports from WHO states that the world experience almost 9 million of premature deaths due to a rise in air pollution, which makes it an issue of concern. Moreover, water pollution not only impact the humans in the city but has a very degrading impact over the flora and fauna of aquatic life.

Environmental issue 1:

Water pollution: Water pollution is very common in the city as the most famous and major source of water in the city is highly polluted. a number of drains flows in the river making it one of the most polluted source of water. However, only a few amount of the sewage from the river is treated which rise up the pollution. it stands as a serious issue on personal level as well as the citizens are very irresponsible toward water management.

ways to solve water pollution: water pollution in the city can be minimized by keeping out oils, detergents, pills, drugs and contaminants from the water. it can also be resolved by having a proper and functional sewage treatment and management system.

laws and regulations that should be taken in order to solve its effect: Reports have indicated that their are numerous sewage treatment and management system in the city but most of them are not very functional. This is sometimes because of lack of management, funds, government policies, electricity and implementation of resources. The government must bring up strict laws toward the operation of these sewage treatment systems. In order to manage the water pollution the government bought the water conservation act. However, it further added to the air pollution so the government must bring eco friendly and safe acts to overcome the issue. The pollution control committee in the city has made certain rules, regulations and guidelines to overcome the issue by bringing up laws such as "the water (prevention and control of pollution) cess rules, 1978".    

Environmental issue 2:

Air pollution: Air pollution is one of the most dangerous form of environmental pollution as it lead to severe breathing problems, which ultimately have a very negative impact over the flora and fauna of the area. my city experience a very poor air quality index during the time of October to December. The air quality index during this time sometimes reaches to 300 which is considered as very poor.   

ways to solve global warming: It is very important to control the particulate matter such as sulfur dioxide in the air as they have a negative impact over the human health. The issue can be resolved by global awareness and afforestation. On personal level the impact can be minimized by avoiding morning walks during poor air quality index and wearing anti-pollution masks to inhale purified air.  

laws and regulations that should be taken in order to solve its effect: The government of the city is very concerned in regards to the issue. numerous men were arrested because of burning fire crackers. burning of fire crackers in the city is one of the most significant cause of air pollution at the time of October and November so the government have strict laws regarding it. They have banned crackers in the area. Moreover, the government have shut down various brick kilns and factories in order to minimize the effect. The government is making strict traffic laws and regulations such as the odd and even traffic scheme in order to minimize the air pollution caused by vehicles.
