I believe that the advantages of small business outweigh its disadvantages. Independence and prestige are the biggest advantages of a business. Which essentially means that you get to be your own boss, there is no one you need to report to, you get to choose what to do, how to do and when to do. There is nothing more rewarding than achieving this kind of independence in life, thus outweighing the major disadvantages of business like uncertainty or risk, initial time commitments etc. Starting a business of your own is a dream for many people. I myself will also start a business for the lure of independence and prestige.

Small business owners are the backbone of major economies around the world. So governments are trying to bring in more support infrastructure and reducing regulatory burdens for small business owners. The opportunities open to small business today are greater than ever as internet has plenty of web-based business support systems. Websites like Kickstarter and GoFundMe are such support infrastructures available through internet. Insufficiency of capital plagues many business ideas or expansion plans. Capital during initial days of business is major concern for any small business aspirant. This is where websites like Kickstarter and GoFundMe comes to rescue.They help small business aspirants by creating a platform for raising money to seed fund their business. These websites connect investors and business aspirants. A business aspirant can share his plan or project or idea through these websites which could be reviewed by potential investors. Thus these crowd funding websites "help bring creative projects to life" which is also the mission statement for Kickstarter.
