Isolationists have suggested that the United States
will be much better of economically and politically if we just
built a wall around the country and didn't deal with outsiders. do
you agree why or why not?
( can be short answer)
It is complex to say ,We have witnessed many border barriers such as Berlin wall,mexico-U.S. barrier,Israel Gaza barrier etc around the world till now..All these were constructed to protect their own country from illegal activities such as illegal migration, terrorism, smuggling of prohibited goods, drugs etc. But coming the USA border issue ,it is seen as a global problem since the USA has played and will play a super power role globally. Hence it is not that easy for US to lose ties with its neighbouring countries as it affects both economically and politically in the world but US can build the wall(in problematic areas only) if the problem of illegal migration from Mexico and other countries persists . The US immigration policy did not formulate stringent laws and regulations to stop illegal migrants as a result lots of cross border issues aroused .Now many migrants settled down in the US who in turn became a problem for locals in many areas such as jobs, resources but at the same time the availability of cheap labour and their participation in economy building . To conclude "having a wall around the country is not a good idea but US can build wall in sensitive areas and formulate some strong acts to stop cross border issues and human trafficking."
