What should you do if you are asked to undertake a coding process that you believe is fraudulent?

In discussing this topic you could comment on things such as the roles and responsibilities of people at various levels of the employment  hierarchy and how it might make a difference if they are the ones committing the fraud or the ones responsible to oversee the person who is committing the fraud. Of course, you would want to discuss your role if you were the coding professional who this co-worker, supervisor, or other person at work had asked to participate in the fraudulent conduct.

Health care sector is a place where sick people believe that the remedies for their illness is here.Taking this has an advantage the unprofessional people out if greediness try to earn money out of it.Though many advancement has occurred in medical field, one such thing is medical coding. It was actually initiated to minimize medical error and provide a quality care.

The administration who is in charge of the coding should be genuine and sincere.

If there is a fraudulent in the work it has to be reported and rectified immediately, because it may endanger the life of patient and reputation of an organization.

If the person is commiting it for the first time ,they should be warned.If done second time a memo with suspension to be done. If repeated dismissal of the concerned staff to be done.

It is necessary to discuss clearly about each rules and regulations of the staff to avoid further occurrence of fraudulence.
