Answer #1

1. Pressure(P)= Flow(Q )× Resistance(R)

MEAN ARTERIAL PRESSURE = CARDIAC OUTPUT × TOTAL PERIPHERAL RESISTANCE

Here , as per question Pressure= 0.1mm hg/ml/min and Flow = 1 L/min= 1000ml/ min

MAP= 0.1mmHg /ml/min X 1000ml/ min = 100mm Hg

2. Total peripheral resistance is the sum of all vascular resistance in systemic circulation or Systemic vascular resistance.

a/ c to question , Resistance in A (Ra ) = 5mm Hg/ml/sec;( Rb) = 10 mm Hg/ml/sec; (Rc) = 20mm Hg / ml/ sec

TPR = Ra + Rb + Rc = 5+10+ 20= 35 mmHg / ml/ sec
