Anytime we have an outbreak of a disease, it is the epidemiologist that figures out all the details like what was the initial care and how was it spread. A disease outbreak occurs when a number of cases of a disease are reported in a short period of time.

Enhancing communication of public health information about emerging diseases and ensuring prompt implementation of prevention strategies. The emergence cannot be predicted, but it can be anticipated;forecasting the most likely diseases to emerge, the quick identification of the drivers that will worsen the impact or facilitate the spread.

Once the infectious threat reaches an epidemic level, the goal of the response is to mitigate the impact and reduce its incidence, morbidity and mortality as well as disruptions to economic political and social systems. During the investigation up-to-date information must be communicated to administration and public health authorities.
