Police department facing difficult time recruiting qualified candidate because it is very difficult to get people with required qualification who can solve difficult crime cases. There are also very few peoples are applying for these jobs now a days.

There are many reasons why people are not applying for these jobs which are as follows:

1. Image of police department is associated with corruption.

2. There are many alternative jobs are there which are much reputed and highly paid in society.

3. Racial crime cases are increasing which put officers in bad light.

4. Risk of life is also demotivate the candidates.

there are following suggestions which may help police department to get more candidates:

1. Increase the pay packages.

2. Improve its image in society and make sure the society feel good about the police offices.

3. Curb the corruption.

4. Reward the police officer in front of society which will give good impression in public and motivate the prospect candidate.
