Early detection and treatment. Measures designed to detect disease and initiate early treatment to limit spread, severity, & prevent complications.

3. Tertiary prevention :
Treatments to prevent complications and minimize disability (individual already has the disease).
Examples of tertiary prevention:
-Physical therapy
