primary and secondary care settings, accident and emergency departments,

in primary and secondary care settings experienced nurse can fullfill this role. they can advice and provide information about alcohol abuse, they can educate and provide training, and also they can advice on pharmacological treatment.

nurses play an important role in hospital based alcohol users: assement of inpatient and outpatient who have alcohol related problems, prescribing and withdrawl management pragrams during hospital administration, educating and providing training to the hospital staff to support them to recognise and work more effectively with the alcohol abusers.
