  • Coagulation profile
  • Liver function test
  • Renal function test
  • Blood group
  • Urine analysis
  • ECG
  • Chest X ray
  • USG Abdomen

Postoperatively

  • CBC

2.The assessment which will be needed for this patient are

  • Subjective data: Collecting information about the postoperative status
  • Objective data:
    • Inspection:Assessing the dressing site for any signs of infection or pain
    • Monitor vital signs
    • Assess intake and output
    • Monitor vitals
    • Assess for any surgical complications
    • Assess the blood glucose levels

3.Medication

  • Restarting the oral antiglycemic drug
  • To complete the course of antibiotics

Home teaching

  • Medication adherence
  • Proper follow up
  • Do not drive if taking any narcotic pain killers
  • No heavy weight lift for atleast six weeks
  • Mild exercise is allowed no straining or strenuous exercise
  • Keep wound dry and clean
  • Report in case of diarrhea, constipation ,pain or any abnormal symptoms
