comfort measures that parents expecting for their child's cesarean birth ;

1) Expalin about the cesarean section and procedure like

  • Nothing by mouth ,this may cause fatigue and light headedness
  • Consent
  • Preoperative medications
  • Part preparation
  • Enema if needed , sometimes it induce lower abdominal pain

2) Arrangement of packed cell of Rbcs for postoperative purpose

3)Educate them to arrange dress for mother and baby

4) Explain about breast feeding techniques

5)Expalin about anesthesia given for cesarean section . After some time this anesthesia leads to frequent back pain .

6) Administer injections to improve the uterine contractions after birth .

7) Catheter is inserted to empty the bladder , this may lead to urinary tract infections later .

8) provide psychological support to the mother and family members
