Ans) 1) Nursing informatics is a field dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care through efficient management of data and technical systems. Using data, an informatics nurse can analyze trends, monitor for any consistent errors, and implement new, more efficient systems.

2) Health information systems help gather, compile and analyze health data to help manage population health and reduce healthcare costs. Then the healthcare data analysis can improve patient care. Clinical decision support systems can use big data to help diagnose individual patients and treat them.

3) Components of a national health information infrastructure can be divided into three interrelated categories:

(1) health care data standards and technical infrastructure

(2) core clinical applications, including EHRs, CPOE systems, digital sources of medical knowledge, and decision-support tools.
