Answer #1

Hydrocodone/acetaminophen 15 mg/1000 mg every 4 hours for pain per gastric tube is ordered.

The hydrocodone/acetaminophen syrup is supplied in 7.5 mg/500 mg per 10-milliliter concentration.

7.5 mg/500 mg per 10-milliliter concentration.

7.5 x 2 mg/500 x 2 mg per 10 x 2 milliliter concentration. (AS the dose is 15 mg/1000 mg)

= 15mg/100mg per 20 ml

The number of milliliters that the nurse would administer with each dose;

20 mL
