What are the basic concepts of lean manufacturing? What concepts are the "root" of lean production and lean manufacturing?
Lean production is focused on doing things the right way, in the right place, in the right place and in the right way, and being able to change. Understanding all these concepts, they should be appreciated are the founders of the process by which products are priced. As important as the cultural and business aspects are, real income and methodology are more important than potential products. Lean Manufacturing strives to understand and manage its functions.
Was defined as a theory that will help your people work and make
your environment easier by being responsible for what they
need.
Lean manufacturing is about eliminating favorable processes.
Customers still deliver quality product products and when ready to
pay, this reduces the costs they find easy.
It is important to have a thin outlook based on a thorough
evaluation of your process to find out what you are doing and
eliminate all the steps that are potentially generating waste. This
waste is called muda and does not add cost to end products.
Lean manufacturing relies on continuous effort for perfect work, which includes root causes of quality issues and eliminating waste in the value stream.
The value is created by the creator that is defined by the customer. In other words, companies need to understand the value of services to their customers, which is how much the customers are able to pay.
Lean's proposal is not to compromise the quality of the product in any way, but to emphasize that cost reduction is important. These concepts are a commitment to reduce waste disposal practices and increase production.

Lean Manufacturing: 1. Define and explain the following terms and concepts in association with lean manufacturing: Jidoka, kaizen, poke yoke, just-in-time, kanban and muda 2. In relation to inventory control, how pull system and push system are different from each other? Explain. 3. Identify one advantage and one limitation of flexible manufacturing system. 4. Make e a list of eight types of wastes with respect to lean manufacturing. 5. Describe major objective of lean manufacturing, and identify its limitation.

Lean concepts such as continuous improvement and waste reduction have long been used by manufacturing companies. Discuss how service firms can apply the same concepts. Why do you think many service companies are adopting these ideas?
What are some businesses that do not use lean manufacturing, lean strategies, or lean techniques?
how does the concepts of Lean supply chain and Lean Six Sigma represent natural extensions of the Lean philosophy?
Lean management originated as a manufacturing philosophy pioneered by Japanese engineers in the Toyota Production System with the goal of eliminating "waste." Six sigma was developed at Motorola Corporation in the 1980's (and popularized in large part by General Electric in the 1990's) with the goal of reducing variation in all critical processes in order to achieve continuous and breakthrough improvements that impact the organization's bottom line. Currently, the trend is to integrate lean management and six sigma. Why do...

2.) What are the total benefits of adopting lean production?
3.) Should the company adopt lean production? Why or why
not?
