Answer #1

we consider the amount of energy that is produced from the food in kilocalories, calories and the kilocalories are the same thing and 1 calorie is the same as 1.

1 kilocalorie, a kilocalorie, and 1 calorie is the amount of heat that is needed to raise the temperature of 1 liter of water up to 1-degree Celsius. the calorie is nothing but the energy, for every action or the work done requires energy and energy come from food and the energy produced by the food is called kilocalorie or calorie, and the source of calories are protein, carbohydrates, and fats and various minerals and the nutrients are taken by us through the food.

there are two sources from where our body can get energy

1. by taking food.

2. in starvation energy from stored fats.

when both are not available patients body will not get sufficient energy to perform functioning of the organs like heart, kidneys and the brain.

a kilocalorie is represented as = 1000 cal.

if a person says today I have consumed 2000 calorie from food that means the individual is saying he has consumed 2000 kcal as food is always represented with kilocalorie. joule is the unit of energy

calories linked with BMR ( basal metabolic rate )

basal metabolic rate is the energy expenditure by the individual or the animals at rest, basal metabolic rate is defined as the amount of energy needed by an individual to keep the functioning of the organs of the body.

BMR affects the rate of burning OF CALORIES that shows whether the individual is gaining, losing or keeping the normal weight.

basal metabolic naturally reduces by 1 to 2% every decade of human life and to maintain the BMR of the body total calorie needed is approximately 60 % to 75 %.

from the above statements, we can conclude that there is an absolute link between the BMR and the CALORIE.

FAD diet dangerous to consumers

FAD diet is considered as the modern diet that influences people that it reduces fat, but in actual it doesn't reduce weight but eliminates water from the body and it is only effective till an individual consumes it, while taking this diet there are a lot of restrictions of taking another food and causes adverse effect on the body,

it is made from the business point of the view , celebrities are involved in promoting these products by advertisements to make a lot of money by fooling teenagers, and people who want to lose weight suddenly, everyone in this modern world wants to look good with minimal efforts in order to save time and energy on eating healthy natural foods and fruits, people prefer short cut for losing weight and it has an adverse effect on the body,

most of the people who lose weight by this diet tend to regain the weight very soon after completing and leaving the diet and also more weight gain is seen in the next five tears as they do not maintain the same eating pattern and also lacks essenial nutrients because of it most of the FAD eaters end up with eating more than body requiremnts
