1. Briefly describe a patient with Cardiac problem  in the clinical setting and describe how you applied what you are learning in med/surg and pharmacology to your clinical practice. Entries should be a minimum of 3 paragraphs

  1. Paragraph #1: Patient’s age, sex, brief PMHx, explanation of current medical situation

  2. Paragraphs #2: Clearly describes application of medical surgical concepts discussed in class thus far.

  3. Paragraph #3: Clearly describes application of pharmacology to clinical practice.

  4. Does not use the word “I” more than 4 times

  • patient age-42years.
  • patient sex-male.
  • arkamine infusion i had started for the client and calcium gluconate injection as per the physician order.
  • the patient came with high blood pressure complain, so arkamine has administered to stabilese the blood pressure.
  • the blood investigation shows high potassium level so calcium gluconate has administered to prevent stroke.

2.

  • i had provided the client reverse trendelenberg's position to decrease the venous return.
  • check blood pressure every hourly until it reach upto the parameter.
  • advice to take medication regularly and not to stop medication without doctors advice.
  • patient has counsel about the diet pattern and to take salt restriced diet.
  • the client and his family members should counsel properly about the disease condition and its complications.

3.

  • arkamine has given to stabilise blood pressure.
  • calcium gluconate has given to maintain the potassium level in blood.
  • patient should adviced about how to take care in home.
  • patient instruct to take nitroglycerine sublingually when he develop any anginal and referral pain.
