Answer #1

ANSWER.

7) Calculation of volume(ml) drug will administer

        Formula

            Volume(ml) = Desired dose(D)/Dose in hand(H) * Quantity(Q)

   Here

       Desired dose(D) = 600000 units.

(Add 8.2 ml diluent to yield 500000 units/ml)

       Dose in hand (H) = 500000 units

          Quantity (Q) = 1 ml

As per above formula

    Volume(ml) of drug required = D/H * Q

                                                   = 600000 / 500000 * 1

                                                   = 1.2 * 1

                                                   = 1.2 ml

                  Round to the nearest tenth

                                                   = 1 ml.
