Answer #1

A CPA might be offered some benefit by the auditee to approve some material misstatement from the financial records. Like he may be asked to record the sales at full price without its return policy or realization. This will show the performance of the company good to attract more investors. In such situation, decision has to be made ethically by the CPA.

A CPA must be independent while performing his duties. Neither he nor any of his closed relatives must not have any financial relationship with the client for which the audit is performed. If he has a relationship, then it will be difficult for him to disclosed the risk identified during the audit procedure.

While performing an audit, the CPA gets access to confidential business information of the client.

A CPA might be offered by any competitor company to disclosed some confidential information of the client for whom he has performed audit. Such information will help the competitor to take undue advantage.
