Method for Making Decisions

Step 1: Define the decision clearly.

Step 2: Consider all the possible choices.

Step 3: Gather all relevant information and evaluate the pros and cons of each possible choice.

Step 4: Select the choice that seems to best meet the needs of the situation.

Step 5: Implement a plan of action and then monitor the results, making necessary adjustments.

1. One of the important decision that I am going to take in my academic life is to get post graduation in psychology. It's one of the important decision because it's different from my base graduation in nursing . Because of the increased demand in counselling services , psychological advises etc due to increased stress in people's life etc this will have good scope in future .

2. Five step decision making include :-

Step 1 - Define the decision clearly

My decision is to change my academic line from nursiy to psychology

Step 2 - Consider all the possible choices

All the possible choices other than psychology are :-

- MSc in Nursing

- Masters in Public health

- Masters in Social work

- Masters in Hospital administration

- Masters in psychology

Step 3 - Identify the pros and cons of each choice

For me, every choice has the pros because every choice provides knowledge and experience while the cons for me is the cost of the course and the scopes and availability of job .

Step 4 - The best choice for me is Masters in psychology in terms of scope , availability of job , and fee of the course .

Step 5 - Plan of action is to join the January sessions of distance education so that I can go my work also . On Saturday and Sunday I would go for the classes .
