3. You are currently an officer with Customs and Border Protection, tasked with the inspection of vehicles entering the United States through the U.S – Mexican border. On a regular day, you may confiscate a few small weapons, but on this day, you inspect a large recreational vehicle, which is found to contain a multitude of high-capacity firearms, as well as improvised explosive devices – similar to those in use in Iraq and Afghanistan. There is only one driver of the RV, a Mexican citizen, who appears genuinely surprised at the discovery of the weapons cache. You suspect that he may simply be a hired hand to unknowingly move illegal weapons into the United States.

2. How many agencies do you think will ultimately be involved with discovering the intended target for these weapons?  Which agencies, and why would they be involved?

Answer: Being an officer with Customs and Border Protection, tasked with the inspection of vehicles entering the United States through the U.S – Mexican border and on finding such incidence as a responsible authority I will immediately take all these materials in to custody and will inform ATF( Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,firearms and Explosives) about such.

After that such information will be provided to Department of Homeland security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In such a situation when driver is unknowingly being involved in such an incident then according service Ethics I will take him in custody for further investigation and will contact Mexican's Authorities concerned for verifying the identity and purpose of the owner of such business and will take required actions with the inter border cooperation and will ensure if Driver is innocent then he should get justice.

As mentioned above the name of agencies will be involved under such incidents for further actions.They will be involved because they have been given the task of prohibiting illegal smuggling across border of such materials and another department concerned with the prohibiting and regulating such trade via migrants or such immigrants which are illegally trying to do so .
