writing a end of week summary....what is inference for one proportion vs inference for two proportion?
One proportion:
If we wanted to test whether the sample proportion is equal to population proportion or an assumed number then we use one proportion. For example: the prevalence of a disease X is to known to be 20%. To check if the same is true in the collected sample we use one proportion. Once the samples are collected we calculate the proportion from that sample and using the z-test for single proportion we test if there is any significant difference between sample and population proportion. The null hypothesis that we test here will be defined as H0: There is no significant difference between sample and population proportion, Sample proportion = 0.20 against the alternative hypothesis H1: Sample proportion is significantly different from 0.20. After doing the z-test we either reject or accept the null hypothesis and infer if the sample proportion is statistically significantly different from 0.20.
Two proportion:
In the two proportion, we compare samples proportions from two groups. For example, if the researcher is interested to know whether the prevalence of disease X is same between females and males he collects the sample of proportions from males and females and tests the difference using z-test for two proportions. Here the null hypothesis is defined as H0: The prevalence of the disease is equal among females and males against the alternative hypothesis H1: There prevalence of the disease are not equal among females and males. After the testing, we infer if there is a significant difference in the prevalence among female and males.

Can you type one summary paragraph for this topic and include one or two references and thanks Week 2 discussion topic is about US longest interstate highway Research about the longest US interstate highway then post a brief one paragraph summary of your research findings (location, length in miles or kilometers, states it serves etc),
Please read Taking sides chapter for week (please see syllabus) and write a one page summary of the two perspectives. One paragraph should describe the point “for”, the second paragraph should describe the perspective “no/against” and the third paragraph should describe your personal reflection and thoughts on the two perspectives. Hypotheses and summary sample statistics are given for a test for a proportion. Test Ho : p = 0.3 vs Ha :p>0.3 when the sample has p = 0.37 and n = 500. Find the value of the standardized z-test statistic and then use the standard normal distribution to find the p-value. Round your answers to three decimal places. z-test statistic - p-value = What is the conclusion using a 5% significance level? O Reject Ho O Do not reject...
2. A department has 3 employees. By the end of any given week each worker independently will quit with prob- ability 10%. If at the beginning of a week one or less employees are there, replacements will be hired by the end of the week. You are interested in finding the proportion of the time that the department has full staff. Write down the equations that you can use to find it.
