Answer #1

Diet is a combination of variety of food intake by an individual to gain better health, this will vary according to the population.

Mainly it can be divided into 2 forms:

  • Vegetarian .
  • Non - Vegetarian.

Vegetarian : the people who consume only herbal products are vegetarian, this can be divided into 3 types they are

  • Total vegetarian - consumes vegetables, fruits, nuts , grains and legumes.
  • Lacto Vegetarian - consumes diary products such a milk, cheese.
  • Lacto-Ovo-Vegetarian - consumes egg.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VEGETARIAN AND NON-VEGETARIAN DIET:

1) Vegetarian :

  • the diet is full of vitamins, fiber, unsaturated fat, folic acid and magnesium
  • it is full of nutrients for the growth and development of healthy body as well as mind
  • they protect the people from diabetes, heart problem, blood pressure, cancer and reduce cholesterol.
  • they are less abundant in vitamin B12,calcium,iron,zinc,fatty acid, omega 3 fatty acid and protein as it is incomplete in vegetables.

2) Non - Vegetarian :

  • Food of animal origin such meat, egg and fish.
  • it strength the muscles and increase the body mass.
  • it maintain the body stamina and hemoglobin
  • it also increase the antibody production and red blood cell for protection.
  • it is rich in omega 3 fatty acids from fish products, protein , vitamin B12 and vitamins.

In short we can say that both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diet have their own merits and demerits. The discussion suggest that we need a balance diet for a healthy life.

I think having a vegetarian diet have more advantages than other diet as it is more balanced.

  • Human body needs a large amount of nutrient for the survival .Therefore, by consuming plant -based diet you will get all the nutrients in place  and it is free from saturated salt. Hence you follow a balance diet always
  • It also prevent form various illness ( heart disease, cholesterol, weight loss ) and thus vegetarian can live longer than non vegetarians.
