Given data :

A binary z- channel has the input is '" 0 " with probability = p

A binary z- channel has the input is '" 1 " with probability = 1-p

Now we have to find out the;

a) What can you say about the input bit if " 1 " is received :-

From the diagram, we say that

  • We can see that 1 is gotten as yield just when the information bit is 1.
  • On the off chance that the information bit is 0, it will dependably give 0 as yield .

Hence, the input bit is " 1" .

b) If is received at the receiver, what is the probability that the transmitted message was :-

Now we have to find :
