frequency polygon? . Why should there be no space between the bars of a histogram, but space between the bars of a bar graph? What is wrong with plotting a cumulative fre quency distribution for a variable that has a nominal scale?

A histogram is used to show the distribution of a variable. and we use the bar for respective bins since there are no gaps between bins as a result no gaps between bar too. A histogram is used to show quantitative data while a bar chart is used for categorical data.

Nominal scale is used for quantitative data where number have no values.

example- Mild , strong , moderate  

Cumulative frequency is the sum of the class and it is not possible to add mild and mild. I mean if two mild adds together then what will be the value? not possible to show.
