According to given scenario it should be laryngectomy than larngectomy
First of all patient needs to be shifted to Intesive care Unit.
Closely monitor the vitals, blood pressure, heart rate , breathing and other vitals sign.
Oxygen should be provided through stoma right after the surgery.
A feeding tube should be inserted from mouth to esophagus as when the throat heals person cannot eat with mouth..
Look for client neck if it is painful and swollen provide the client with Analgesic and anti inflamatory results.
Continue these treatment till the patient stabilize then bring the client to his room allowed
Here client will heal with time. Since person is unable to speak and make the client learn how to speak without larynx.
Encourage the client to move around as it will protect the blood clot. It decrease the risk of pneumonia.It help the client to get accoustomed to stoma physical therapy and speech therapy should be made compulsory for the client.
Make the client aware of stoma care and train the client about the household care after laryngectomy
