ANSWER.

Post-operative interventions for a client with below knee amputation.

       1) Encourage and assist the patient to do ROM(range of motion) exercises

             to maintain normal physical mobility.

       2) Application of pressure dressing over the amputated area and following aseptic

            techniques when taking care of this patient to reduce the risk for infection.

        3) Administer antibiotics prophylactically as per physicians order.

        4) Provide adequate psychological support for the client to adjust with the body image

            disturbance due to amputation.
