HIV -Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
It is transmitted from one infected person to other through blood transfusion,unprotected intercourse,contaminated equipments etc.
In HIV the main important yhing that struck me is -normally many virus attack certain parts of body but HIV attacks the CD4 cells who is the key player in immune system.HIV virus attacks the cells which fights aganist infection.This virus replicated whne the CD4 cells activates and remains dormant when they are inactive and again replicates when they become active.
It causes the person to become weak and they cannot fight aganist other diseases which affects them because the immune system is weakened by the virus.And due to this condition several diseases such as cancer, tuberculosis, candidaisis, pnuemonia etc.
There is no cure for this virus but live span can be prolonged by using medicines and it reduces symptoms of the disease.
