- to control the blood pressure, especially stopping smoking and limiting alcohol consumption,
- Restricting salt intake, maintaining adequate potassium and calcium intake .
b) DASH diet :- (Dietary Approaches to stop hypertension ):- Diet rich in fruits ,vegetables ,low fat or non fat dairy .
c) Physically active life style:- Moderate intensity aerobic activity for at least 30 minutes most days of the week,
- Intensity aerobic activity for at least 20 minutes 3 days a week.
d) Management of psychological risk factors .
