Electronic health records are widely used in healthcare simulations nowadays as they can improve many aspects of healthcare.The simulated chart includes a simulated patient’s outpatient ,emergency records ; medication list; lab imaging, and pathology results,ECG tracings etc.The main resource needed in academic EHR is the time of the teaching faculty to create and update a simulated patient chart.It also requires a group of faculty members with one of them being the head of the team orienting others in the team and easily accessible to the students to answer their queries.An IT specialist who is skilled in EHR is also required to design the EHR and address any IT issues that can occur.EHR should also also include training environment for the learners.
