Cardiovascular diseases are now one of the most illness found from younger age.

Some of the specific mechanism in the diet by altering the nutrient contents can greatly reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It is mainly divided into three specific mechanism namely

  • Dietary patterns (low fat and carbohydrate ,Mediterraneandiet and DASH diet)
    • Low fat intake decrease the level of triglycerides and minimise the bad cholesterol. This prevents the deposition of fats in the blood vessels and preventing atherosclerosis. Low carbhohydrate decreases the rate of over weight, or helpful in weight loss and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The Mediterranean diet are plant based food and are highly healthy which does not have butter,cheese,oily items etc., and directly reducing the effect of heart disease. DASH diet is a way to reduce hypertension induced heart diseases with the substitution of these essential minerals into diet
  • Individual food items(This includes grains,vegetables,fruits,nuts,milk and milk products, alcohol,coffee ,tea,cocco products ,eggs)
    • The intake of right quantity of soluble and insoluble fibre ,8 tupes of vegetables and fruits in the diet,unsaturated fatty acids ,oxidation from nuts can reduce the risk of heart disease.The diary products containing saturated fatty acids should be reduced.
  • Nutritional supplement(This includes salt ,omega 3 fatty acids,fish oil,antioxidants ,minerals like magnesium, calcium,potassium, Vitamin D)
    • A diet low in sodium content (salt ) can decrease the risk of cardiovascular diseases like high blood pressures. The biochemical stanols if absorbed in the right way can minimise the cardiovascular diseases.
