Answer #1

1 .

D. All of the above

If government provides tax incentives for research and development then there will be more research activities.

If government provides patents for or new researches then people will get incentive to innovate new things.

If government provides fundings for research activities then there will be more research in in college and universities.

All of these will encourage invention of new technologies.

2.

A. National defence

National defence has both of the the properties of a public good. It is non rival in nature which means that when national defence is provided every citizen of the country get the same benefit. It is is non excludable in nature which means that if the citizen is projected under National defence no one can be excluded.

3.

D. All of the above

If everyone in the society have adequate healthcare then students of my class are less likely to be sick and so I.

'you are less likely to get those around you sick if you are healthy' -- this means that I am also not spreading illness.

And obviously fewer people will die if there is adequate healthcare.
