To avoid wastage of food we have to select the food that use minimal resources for their crops.

When you are planning for meal

estimate the number persons require food and
calculate their eating capacity

Based on the above factors we have to prepare the meal size and number of item.

So that we can minimise the food wastage.

Environmentally friendly food choices means that foods which require minimal resources to grow, like amount of water, pesticides, land, fertilizers etc.

Environmentally healthy food choices are consuming fruits and vegetables.

The following 10 are the environmentally friendly foods

Potatoes
Onions
Apples
Bears
Braccholi
Oranges
Soft cheese
Garden peas
Beans
Small fishes
