Answer #1

According to Marquis the act of killing is immoral in consideration of a life. The plausibility of answer is because of the conservative view on abortion status. An adult being killed is immoral wheras a fetus which has not developed in to a human form or as an adult can be terminated on medical grounds when it endangers the life of the mother. This option is difficult in a adult because of autonomy where they have rights to take decision on self and express it out.

Write a reply to this response in three to five sentences. After reading both Marquis and Thomson's views, I find Thomson's argument to be stronger. If Marquis is correct about his view on why killing a fetus is wrong, then that is important. Just because it is important, doesn't mean it outweighs another important view. According to Marquis, the fetus had so much potential, and by killing it, it would strip away all of the possibilities their life would bring....
