Ans) Consideration:

› Ensure that surgical stabilization of hip fracture is performed as soon as possible—ideally within 48 hours of injury.

› To reduce the risk of delirium, orient the patient frequently; get her out of bed as soon as possible, and avoid prolonged catheter use.

› Order protein supplements for patients recovering from hip fracture and take steps to facilitate an early return to eating.
