Breast feeding affects both mother and child in long term health.

For child -

- Breast feeding helps the child to Maintain a healthy weight.

- It develops baby natural immunity that helps the baby to fight against the various infection such as- Gut infection, Ear infection, throat infection.

- It helps baby smarter and high intelligence.

- mother's milk have all the essential nutrients that a baby need to grow in first six months of life.

For Mother -

- Breast feeding helps the uterus to contract and shape to it's original size, called involution. Breast feeding helps to secrete hormones like oxytocin which contract the uterus.

- Study have been shown it helps to reduce depression. Oxytocin which have been secreted during breast feeding have the anti anxiety effect to mother.

- It reduces the chances of Breast , ovarian and cervix cancer.

- Breast feeding also pauses ovulation and Menstruation.

- Breast feeding may help the mother to loose weight as they burned more fat in lactating period.
