Probability is defined as the recurring theme in the medical practice. This concept is widely used in research related to medicine and nursing arena. Probability is the means of encountering the unexpected from the treatment and diagnosis.

Statistically probability is widely accepted and is believed to be the frequency. Probability is not a simple frequency to be dtermined but it is the ideal universal frequency that needs to be determined through obtaining the observational frequency. Medical researches usually incorporated probability in several different aspects.

Conditional probability- this is defined as the likelihood of the event or outcome that is based on the occurrence and outcome of the previous events that happened. There is a specific formula to measure conditioned probability, that is to multiply the probability of the preceding event by the updated probability of the suceeding event or the conditioned event.
