Alzheimer's disease is the gradual loss of memory, changes in thinking, behavior and language skills. It is one of the most common form of dementia, a neurocognitive disorder. Alzheimer's disease stage 2 has mild cognitive impairment which is similar to changes due to aging process. mild forgetfulness of objects or events are common in this stage which may not have much effect on personal daily life. Forgetting events,conversations,appointments more often. poor judgement and decision making skills are some common symptoms.

Five safety concerns at home.

1. Kitchen - Install safety knobs,a hidden gas valve or circuit breaker on the stove to prevent turning the stove on or off when nobody around the person to avoid hazard. Keep hazardous cleaning materials and breakable products in locker.

2. medications- keep the medications in locked cabinet and provide them with supervision. accidental overdose ore change in medication may happen due to forgetfulness.

3.Door locks - Remove door locks of bedroom and bathroom to prevent accidental locking.

4. Install safety devices like, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors and always make sure that they are in working condition.

5. Display a list of emergency phone numbers, home address, addresses for local police and fire departments, hospitals and poison control helplines near all telephones for easy access and always be prepare for emergencies.
