Answer #1

Order dose 10 mg direct IV before the endoscopy procedure.

Direction - Injection Undiluted @5 mg/min

a. Total 2 ml to be injected because the drug contains 5mg per ml

Estimated Dose 10mg

5mg \times 2ml = 10mg

b. 2ml of the drug contains 10 mg of diazepam

c. The direction is given that you can give 5mg/min

We have 10mg in 2ml

10mg \div 2ml = 5mg/ml

d. Using a 10 ml Syringe, I have to inject 1ml/min

e. We have 10mg of the drug so, total we need 2 minutes to inject.
