Which do you feel is the best type an HMO or a PPO and why?
I think, PPO is better option for those who already have doctor or want to select doctors as per his choice and do not wish to change physician after entering the plan. The chosen doctor may or may not be part of the network, but the patients would still have the possibility of seeing him without having to pay extra. But, in HMO, the patient does not have freedom of choosing the doctor and healthcare facilities he wants once he becomes part of the scheme.
HMO is having benefit of cashless treatment, as there is no need of filing claim to reimburse their money because insurance covers all the cost directly and patient never pays for a treatment directly.
But still I like, PPO, because, I can choose doctor and healthcare facilities as per the requirement.
