Yes, I describe myself as a lifelong learner.

Actually I think everyone one of us should be a life long learner and I believe all of us are life long learners in some sense. This concept of being a lifelong learner is very important for us because we live in a highly competitive and ever changing world. The pace at which the world is changing today is the highest it has ever been. This only seems to increase in future..

So in order to keep up with the latest changes, advancements happening in the world, it becomes absolutely necessary for us to learn and educate ourselves about the changes that are occurring and adapt to them.

We as a part of the health care fraternity need to learn the latest advancements that has occurred in the field of medicine and nursing. This is because we can serve and treat patients better if we learn the latest treatment regimens as lives depend on our knowledge. Not just in the field of work, education and learning are a part of every walk of our life. For example we first used to communicate using post cards and mail. After that came the telephone and now we are using smart phones which are basically computers in the palm. We initially learnt how to write letters, later we learnt using telephones and now we leaned writing e-mails and how to communicate using mobile phones via chat boxes etc.

We also learn how to deal with certain problems and challenges when life throws them at us. It is learning how to deal with them that helps us get past all the hurdles and challenges in life. Our growth as an individual stops if we stop being a learner. Both professionally and personally a person who stops learning will be left behind and all the others will cross you and move ahead with their lives.
